SPEAKER_01

Welcome back to another Unfiltered Friday with me, your host, AJ Buckley. Totally kidding, unless you're serious. And Sean here, my co-host in the darkness. The man in the darkness. He's like the guy in The Wizard of Oz. Oz?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, just the man behind the curtains.

SPEAKER_01

Just the guy behind the light. Uh, it's good to be back with you. Um, again, thank you guys, man. Like the response has been awesome. Um we've had some great podcast guests this this past coming week with Mary O'Neill dropping that very intense story. And uh I'm very grateful to Mary for having the courage to use my show as a platform to talk about something so traumatic as what she's been through. So if you haven't checked out that episode and uh you want to hear a great inspirational story of strength and perseverance, go check out Mary O'Neill from Country Outdoors and uh on the AJ Buckley show. So this is Unfiltered Friday, where we like to have a little bit of fun and get weird. Yeah, Sean's already got a shirt off. I'm not sure why. He said it's because the AC isn't working. Yep, pants are coming next. But it is working, and this is just awkward. Anyways, um, thanks for tuning in and welcome back to another episode of Unfiltered Friday. So um, Sean, what you uh Friday, what you got planned for the weekend?

SPEAKER_00

Just another easy weekend. A lot of editing, a lot of producing, a lot of hard work.

SPEAKER_01

Sean, I know you're gonna do something other than that.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

No? All right, moving on. Sean is in a sweat camp. Yeah, what's it? What are those called? Sweat camp, sweatshops?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, or Nike.

SPEAKER_01

Sean works for Nike, he works for the AJ Buckley show. Uh no, that and that's not say that. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I mean I'm gonna leave it in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so Nike. Uh oh, I guess, you know, anyways, moving on. Uh, what is our first big headline of the week?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so United Airlines hit a bakery truck on the New Jersey Turnpike.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I saw this, yeah. That dude was just cruising along, and I guess an airplane hit a light pool, and the light pull smashed into his bakery truck.

SPEAKER_00

Was he just coming in too low? What's that? Was he just like coming in too low? Was what it was when the airplane was coming to land?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I guess so. I mean, you you like when I used to live in LA, we used to go out by in and out there and we'd watch the plane lands and stuff. But usually there's pretty good clearance when they're passing over the highway there. I mean, that guy has to, you know, they were coming from Italy, you know, so it was a long flight. Maybe the guy was getting a little as he's landing and took his hand off the throttle. You know, that could happen. You know, maybe he was, you know. I wonder how many pilots are part of the mile high club. Every single one.

SPEAKER_00

I kind of thought all that was automated though, like the landing. It's like what is a 767, right? It was a big plane.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was uh flight 169, Boeing 767. Okay, and the passengers were coming back from Italy, was on final approach into New York Sunday afternoon. Planes comes in low, the landing gear clips the light pole, and then underside of the aircraft slams into the Baltimore bakery truck who was on the turnpike. Wow, that is crazy. Like the video is pretty insane. Pull up the video. Do you have the video there? Do we get the video?

SPEAKER_00

Yep, give me one second.

SPEAKER_01

Well, he's just cruising along, he's just enjoying his day. Oh, he's oh see, he noticed that something he could see a plane coming. Dude, that was intense. I mean, who does he sue? He gets a ton of money from United for sure. And a hundred percent he gets free donuts for the rest of his life from this bakery shop. But he, I mean, he's lucky that he's still alive. That's a pretty like I mean that was terrible.

SPEAKER_00

That was like final destination.

SPEAKER_01

That dude was like, la la la, what a beautiful day, and like looks to his left, and next thing you know, the telephone pole gets clipped by the airplane that then smashes your truck and your radiators in your grill. That's not uh that's not that's not a good way to start the week. But uh, you know, what's what's the temperature on the internet? What are they saying?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so everyone's kind of just I'm never flying into Newark again.

SPEAKER_01

And uh I don't like flying into Newark. Newark is a tough airport. Same with JFK. Both those ones are it's a shit show. So I'm okay. It's a pass. What else are they saying?

SPEAKER_00

That the bakery truck driver is now an internet folk hero. Um the guy who got rear-ended by a 767. I mean, that's a good headline.

SPEAKER_01

It is, it is. I mean, truthfully though, it's the only place in America where a bakery truck has a better chance of arriving on time than a plane does. Seriously. What else have we got there, Sean? Oh god, here we go. Sleep is non-negotiable. Better days, better recovery. Go to ghostbed.com forward slash buckley at the checkout, put Buckley B-U-C-K-L-E-Y for the code word. Get yourself a discount. And I'm telling you, the better days are ahead, better sleep, better everything. You're gonna wake up in the morning with a big old smile on your face because you slept through the night. Three pillars of discipline spirit, mind, body, in that order. That right there is the foundation of a company I started called Born of Discipline. It's incredibly important to me, this company incorporates my faith, the lessons I learned from my father on discipline, pain from regret, or pain from discipline is something my dad always said to me. And I've incorporated that into my life, and I want to share it with you. Go check it out at bornofdiscipline.com. Get your merch. It's it's great stuff. Go get it now. Get it while it's good.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

AJ, Fashion's biggest night was Monday. What did the internet wake up arguing about with the 2026 Met Gala?

SPEAKER_01

I don't understand. This is the part of the business that I don't understand. I'm sure, you know, if I was ever to get an invite to the Met Gala, my wife is like, we're going.

SPEAKER_00

What would you wear? What would your what would your form of art be?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I it would you know you gotta commit though. You've gotta commit. I saw The Rock was there and he was in like a kilt with like I think like a five million dollar watch or something like that. It's all diamonds, it's pretty insane. Um but I don't know. It's so weird. This is the that's the one part of the business that I'm like, I just don't I don't even know what the Met Gallum is for, right? You know, and that there was a theme this year that was costume art and fashion, fashion is art. Fashion is art. Basically, dressed as a piece of art. I just I don't someone you know was literally ate an edible, smoked joint, was like, I have it. Fashion is art. And they're like, that's amazing, and then people dress up in these, and the costumes like let's pull up. Well, who let's look at some of these outfits? Who wore it better? What? Let's Rihanna? Sabrina Carpenter? Okay, uh Beyoncé? What is that? That was like a battleship on the lady's head. Okay, here we go. Like this is serious stuff right now, guys. Like where are the images? Okay. I don't understand it. I just don't understand. Here's Dwayne the Rock. Like he's got the he's got like a this watch. The watch is pretty dope. Okay, let's go see, go down. Uh that's Rihanna.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

She looks like a roll of tinfoil.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's very that looks like honestly, and with all due respect to whoever the designer is, but that looks like you're in the Little Mermaid in elementary school, and your mom forgot to put the costume together. And at last minute, she likes spray paints with silver lacquer, a glad garbage bag, and then duct tapes it to you and says, You look, you look like a clam, baby. You're the clam of you're so perfect, you're gonna kill it on the show. What is that? Hold up. That looks like a testicle. On like that looks like who is this? Cardi B. Cardi B looks like she's got two, she's holding two testicles, and then at the bottom there, it looks like a bunch of foreskin on the floor. Like, what is that? That's that is not, or it looks like an intestinal discharge. Like, what okay? Who is this?

SPEAKER_00

That's Madonna. Madonna's got a shipwreck on her head.

SPEAKER_01

She is shipwrecked. That she is like she didn't like her go to her face. What is that? She's terrifying. That is, it is a ship.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Pirates of the Caribbean.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, dear lord.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe you just don't get art, AJ.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I do. Why, why dude? This is really fun. Go back to the pictures. Don't go off this. This is like the funnest part, dude. Go oh, to the right. No, no, no, right. There you go. Okay. My dog is back. Say hi, Oaks. It's good to see your. Oh. Hey, Oaks. Everybody at home can hear you breathing onto the microphone, and you can't ruin every podcast. I know, I know, but I love you. I love you. You're so I know. Hey, hey, buddy. I know. You're a good boy. Okay. Go lay down. Go lay down. It's not time. You literally, you know when I'm recording. You just come in here. Go out. Out, Oaks. Lay down. No. You think you're getting internet famous? Is that what's happening? No, I'm talking. I'm busy right now, dude. We're gonna go for a walk after. You're not getting any treats. If there's uh if there's a a dog company out there that wants Oak to You know, have some snacks during the show, feel free. That's a great, that's a great segue. Anyways, let's look at one more one more effort. Where's the rock? Because the rock, um oh, that's not too bad.

SPEAKER_00

That's blank live. Well, let's move on. She's probably trying to downplay that image a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

What is this? Beyonce?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

She freaks me out. She just freaks me out. Yeah, that whole crew freaks me out. Who is this guy? What is going on? Who is this?

SPEAKER_00

Go Connie's story or Hudson Williams. Sorry, Hudson Williams brings old school glamour to Met Gala Red Carpet.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, let's see the whole outfit. What in the hell? He looks like a Spanish bullfighter that like his little sister did his makeup as a joke. Or like when he like, you know when you play a prank with somebody they fall asleep, and you're like, you write like like you draw like a dick on their forehead and they have no idea, and all breakfast, you're like, it looks like somebody he fell asleep. He was like, you know, out out of a rough night. He's doing the walk of shame moment. I'm like, God bless you, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, you've got is it wrong to say that this looks like an HBO rendition of Peter Pan, like a 2026 Peter Pan?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, or Zorro, one of the two. So, I mean, oh I can't. I can't. God bless it. I mean, did he at least wax his belly button? There you go. That's pretty cool. Go to that one. That's not a bad one.

SPEAKER_00

That's like a kimono.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'd wear I would rock that. I would wear that.

SPEAKER_00

That's Chris Jenner.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know, but I would, I would, that's that's a badass looking. I love kimonos. I feel like a ninja. All right. Moving on. Yeah, nobody cares. All right. That was interesting. Thanks for coming down. The fashionista. It's I like I can't really talk about my fashion. It's it's uh it's pretty straightforward. T-shirt, jeans, boots. Done. Um, but nothing screams art like a $75,000 dress that gets worn for 90 seconds on a staircase, and then they never wear it again. That's art. Thank you, Matt Gala. Um oh, the devil wears Prada 2.

SPEAKER_00

AJ, 20 years later, Miranda Priestley is back. Did the sequel ruin it or did they pull it off?

SPEAKER_01

So I have not seen it yet, but my wife and my daughter went yesterday because a friend of ours actually, she's in the credits. She she did something, she helped with product placement. Um and uh I'm I'm proud of her. That's that's a really uh big deal for uh for somebody. So my wife went, she said that Adrian Grenade is not in it because he's outgrowing tomatoes somewhere in the fields of Austin. Um, but uh Emily Blunt Stanley Tucci, who I think is an amazing actor, um, he's in it. Um, and uh Ann Hathaway is being called our most vibrant star. Uh that's amazing. So um it is cool, you know? It is cool. I I love it when they can bring back because the the first one was was great. Yeah, me's a classic. Yeah, Meryl Streep is uh she's just the best. She's she's unbelievable. I'm a big fan of hers. Remember her in uh the one with uh with the she boils the bunny and Michael Douglas? Fatal Attraction? Fatal Attraction.

SPEAKER_00

I don't I don't yeah, I think you're right. I don't remember the film though.

SPEAKER_01

That's a little bit 'cause you it was before your time. Yeah, a little bit. You're a filmmaker. That's like uh one of the best. She like boils a rabbit. She's a good psycho.

SPEAKER_00

I I think I've seen the film. I mean, I just don't I watch so much.

SPEAKER_01

I loved her as Corella Deville though, I gotta tell you.

SPEAKER_00

The the remake they did with um no, the no the animated cartoon.

SPEAKER_01

Of course the remake, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I meant you know what I mean. That was pretty good though. I like the how they Yeah, it was good, it was good.

SPEAKER_01

I'm a big, big fan of hers. I think she's uh she's good. So, but uh it's out in theaters today. If you uh you know what I do, I do will say this before we move on. It's really cool that you can watch a film, right? That when your kids were either babies or whatever, and then years later take them to the theater. Like I remember going to see Star Wars in the movie theater or going to see I feel that way about the new Harry Potter reboot.

SPEAKER_00

I know a lot of people were upset because they're just remaking all the movies on HBO, but I'm actually really excited about it. I didn't realize it's been 20 years.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know who I went for uh in Halloween? Who I went for who I who I was Dumbledore? How did you know?

SPEAKER_00

I was just a lucky guess.

SPEAKER_01

Did you see my Instagram? Dumbledore's the guy in the bike with the big black beard and the big no, that's not Dumbledore.

SPEAKER_00

Who is that? Shit, not my brain. Hold on.

SPEAKER_01

I thought that was who it was. That's the guy that's like that's Hagrid. Hagrid, yeah, Hagrid.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Hagrid.

SPEAKER_01

Harry, Harry. So I'll I'll post a picture. I'll send you a picture that we can post up here of me. Uh like it's pretty, it's pretty, it's pretty unbelievable. My wife went as Harry Potter, and it was pretty funny. So, and I drove around on the scooter.

SPEAKER_00

I'll have to check that out. It's pretty funny.

SPEAKER_01

We'll post it on, we'll post it in this video. Um, just add more work for you as an editor over the weekend. Yeah, I'll probably I'll probably forget about it. Um, all right. So um let's go back here because it's there was something about Meryl Streep was on uh Travis Kleese's podcast. Kelsey. Travis Kelsey, is that how you say his name?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. So they had a walk-off. Travis Kelsey had a walk-off in heels with Meryl Streep, and Kelsey said he's secretly amazing in heels.

SPEAKER_01

Cool. Guess what? Nobody cares about Travis Kelsey. Let's move on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think probably most Chiefs players are pretty good in heels.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, shots fired from the Raiders fan. Well, if you're uh if you're out there and you're looking for some nostalgia, I I would my wife said it was a good movie. Go check it out. It's uh it's it's uh a magical experience going to the movie theater. I think we should do it. We've got to bring that back.

SPEAKER_00

The social yeah, I try to take my daughter like at least twice a month to the movies. And I don't care if it's Little Mermaid or Moana or what you know, we just try to keep theaters alive. I think it's something that needs to stay funded.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's there's something about going to the movies and smelling popcorn. It's so good. Why is it that when you I don't care what it is, you smell popcorn, especially on set at night. If all of someone the craft service starts hitting that popcorn, and popcorn will mess my stomach up, but I will just I will stick my face in a bag and sniff it. I'll like put my nose deep in the in that salty butter and sniff. Just sniff. Man, I love some popcorn. Yeah, especially if I in what my trick is too, you get the hot bag and you pour a whole bag of peanut MMs it's a little popcorn surprise, and then you put it in there, and it's a salty in the chocolate and a little d-day coke. I know it's terrible for you, but man, it's a good just sniff that bag of popcorn. Get that butter on your face. Yeah. All right. Uh, what's the next headline?

SPEAKER_00

GameStop is trying to buy eBay, the same GameStop that sells used Pokemon cards in a strip mall. What is happening? That's a big buy for them, right? Like they're GameStop's a smaller company than eBay.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they're trying to buy it for $55 billion bid. I mean, that's a pretty big thing. So let's let's let's break down the headlines here. So Ryan Cohn, GameStop's CEO, dropped a non-binding offer Sunday night to acquire 100% of eBay at a uh $125 a share. Half cash, half stock. That's so half cash? What's half cash of I don't know how many shares they have. No, $55 billion in half cash? So he'd give cash, so he'd give like $30 billion in cash?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, just on that dude.

SPEAKER_01

I if I go to the bank and ask for $10,000 cash, they're like, it's gonna take about two weeks. When you're asking for that amount of cash, like what? Or is it digital cash? You know? Um wow, they're trying to buy a company four times their size, but I think it's a strong play. He's smart. I mean, back in 2021, they they uh they had their big boom and polymarker, okay?

SPEAKER_00

Polymarket.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, polymarket gives it the deal a 15% chance. Did you know that?

SPEAKER_00

That's kind of low.

SPEAKER_01

That is kind of low. What's the other is there any other uh odds on it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Calci says 26% chance that traders are not buying it. Or no, 20 Calchi gives 26% chance, but most traders aren't buying it.

SPEAKER_01

So the GME stock dropped 8% on the news, but eBay dropped 5.5%. Wow. Um, that's crazy. Die Hard GameStop fans calling Cohen a genius playing 40 chess. I agree. He's uh he knows what he's doing. So um, you know, there we go. Let's uh move on to the next headline. What do we got, Sean?

SPEAKER_00

Spirit Airlines died last weekend and the internet decided to revive it. How are we doing on that?

SPEAKER_01

I almost died on a Spirit Airlines flight, so and it wasn't from actual the flight, it was just there there was no like their AC or whatever stopped, and we're on a runway, and like, sorry, the uh air conditioning is not really working, and then it just like we're stuck in a runway for an hour and 20 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

I think I saw something on the internet, and I could be wrong on this, but um Spirit Airlines shutting down now, it goes into history books as the only airline with like a non-fatal crash in history, like they've never had a fatal crash. Really? I read that online, it could be 100%.

SPEAKER_01

Has every airline had a fatal crash?

SPEAKER_00

That's what I started thinking when I read that, but that's scary. But most of the other airlines are still open, so maybe there's still chance.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. So Spirit shuts his doors at 3 a.m. on May 2nd. Full ground stop, millions of stranded passengers. Well, it's not like they were on time anyway, so like newsflash. It's not like I'm upset as a spirit passenger that their flights are delayed. No, dude, like there's nothing about spirit airlines that the experience was awesome.

SPEAKER_00

Is that the one where the window popped out a few years back? Or like when the window popped out while they're flying in the air?

SPEAKER_01

There, it is like look, it sucks that people are losing their job, but that company, like I was I took it as like, oh, look at this. This is super cheap. When anything is super cheap flying, you know, like you're you're in the back with the goats. Um, but uh let's go go up back up a bit and see what the headlines are. So um, okay, so within hours, YouTuber and voice actor Hunter Peterson kicked off a let's buy spirit pledge campaign.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I saw this.

SPEAKER_01

So within a day, they hit 23 million in pledges from 36,000 people. What by yesterday it was 88 million? Their goal is 1.7 billion. I mean, this is awesome, but guys, like yeah, but none of this money's actually been collected.

SPEAKER_00

It's just people pledging that if if they were gonna buy, they would pledge this much.

SPEAKER_01

So okay, well, that's not exciting. The site got overwhelmed and had to pause. Aviation experts say the math doesn't even come close to working. Thanks, aviation networks experts. Thank you, aviation experts for nothing. Okay, um, TikToks loved it. They said that this is the most American thing ever, right?

SPEAKER_00

Imagine the whole country coming together to save spirit airlines.

SPEAKER_01

That's the American spirit.

SPEAKER_00

We could have done so much more with all that resource and camaraderie, and we decide to save the airline with windows popping out mid sky.

SPEAKER_01

Well, there's a genuine cult of personalities forming around under Peterson right now. Just letting you know. Yeah, Spirit Airlines, you know, it's kind of uh it's kind of honestly fitting though. It's sort of this idea of reviving it with a sort of half-baked idea and vague promise that money's gonna show up later, guys. I promise. This product is dog shit, but welcome aboard. No. There's better things to invest in.

SPEAKER_00

AJ, give us the sports breakdown. What did we miss this weekend?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, we missed the uh UFC in Australia. Australia. That was a terrible Aussie accent. But uh there was a UFC. We had the Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby, that was exciting. The 23 and one long shot Golden Tempo wins the 152nd Derby. Okay, and and uh the trainer, um Sherry DeVox, I think her name is.

SPEAKER_00

DeVox DeVoe.

SPEAKER_01

Sherry DeVoe, she uh became the very first woman trainer to win the Derby, and she won 48.2 million dollars. Wow, that's that would you see that race though?

SPEAKER_00

I actually missed the derby.

SPEAKER_01

For some reason, my were you shed in the podcast?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was so busy investing my life into this. I didn't I wasn't allowed to leave my cave. No, I really normally I watch it every year.

SPEAKER_01

Like we I just yeah, usually my the players usually in the neighborhood. I don't know what we were like a little derby party. Where did we what what were we doing? Oh, I had all the kids' sports and stuff, and then it was raining. It was all the remember the air show got cancelled. Yeah, the air show here in in in Charleston. I think it it did they never got any planes up, did they?

SPEAKER_00

No, there was people waiting for like three hours in the rain, and then they were gonna shut the bridge, the main bridge to your area down.

SPEAKER_01

And well, they they did on when the when the um the testing when the what do they call the blue angels when they flew by and they flew over the Ravenel Bridge, I guess like two accidents happened because people were like, whoa.

SPEAKER_00

That's what we heard on your podcast the other day. Yeah. Whenever we were in here and we thought you were getting raided for talking about aliens, it was the blue angels testing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, it was uh was not the mothership coming to probe. It was uh just the blue angels. Um, let's go up to the top there. Let's go up to the top. So basketball, okay. What do we got in basketball? I know that's happening right now. Do we have anything in basketball?

SPEAKER_00

Uh it says NBA playoffs 76ers. Uh, I guess the seven seed eliminated Celtics, the two seed in seven games after Boston blew a three-and-one lead. Oh. The Pistons survived Magic in seven, and the Lakers eliminated the Rockets four to two. The Knicks dropped the Sixers 137 and 98 in round two of game one. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

That's pretty impressive. I bet you Dave Pornier, because he's a Boston guy, right?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, a big Boston guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I love watching Barstool when they're when they watch they're watching the games because they have so much money, more money than I would ever bet on anything. But they have the live camera of like the stress that they go through for I just I couldn't.

SPEAKER_00

That just is I love that they brought John Gruden onto Barstool. Another Raiders Illuminati, but man, John Gruden is just one of the most entertaining people to listen to.

SPEAKER_01

I have no idea who he is.

SPEAKER_00

Man, he's good, so good.

SPEAKER_01

We feel the clock ticking, don't we? It's almost summertime, which means pool parties, beach, all of the madness. You've taken the foot off of gas a little bit because you haven't had to rip the shirt off in front of anybody, right? You don't want to be the dad in the neighborhood that's goddamn no titties. No, no, no. You want to be jacked. So what I would recommend is you go see my friends at PRX. Now, as a listener of the AJ Buckley show, get a little gift. If you go to aj.prx.co, you get 50% off your labs out of the gates. They'll dial you in. They know everything about hormone replacement, all this stuff just in time for summer for you to get absolutely shredded. Go to aj.prx.co, get your beach body on for daddy. If you get a truck or you do off-roading, do any sort of add-ons to some sort of pavement princess that you might have, I highly recommend going to Total Off-Road. I go to the one here in Charleston and I go see Dan and TJ and the rest of the crew there. They are the best people in the world to do anything, any modifications, any build on your four-wheeler that you have. We all work really hard for our money, and what we want at the end of the day is quality service. It's a huge honor to have them, one of the sponsors of the show. I'm forever grateful for all the work that they do. Go check out Total Off-Road. They are all across the country. Anything to do with off-roading, those are your guys. We had some big wins in the UFC over this weekend. I can't say any of their names because I'm dyslexic, but I know that a hometown boy, I'm pretty sure Carlos Prats defeated Jack Della Mandela. Right? Madalena. Maddalena in uh round number three. It was at TKO, so that's exciting. Um, boxing. We had the Cinco de Mayo pay-per-view. Okay, David El Monstruo Benavidez stopped Gilbert Zerdo Ramirez via TKO in the sixth. Um, I actually watched that. That was a really good little scrap. Um, I'm excited about that.

SPEAKER_00

Are you big into boxing? You like watching boxing?

SPEAKER_01

Boxing, um, more so UFC, but I love boxing. Girl boxing. I I like I like the combat sports a lot.

SPEAKER_00

And then in the NHL round two, the Hurricanes lead the Flyers 2-0 as the Avalanche opened with a wild nine and six win over Minnesota. Oh Vegas up one and oh on Anaheim, which this is pre-recorded for Friday, so could change.

SPEAKER_01

So um I will say this. Anytime that I see that the the uh go back to the hockey stuff there, so hurricanes lead the Flyers 2-0. Anytime I see that that like any team from Philly is down, I think of the pain that my good buddy Dave Boreanis is in right now. Because he is the most die hard Philly fan. Like, I I've met fans, and then like he loves his team. Like, this is so I'm praying for you, David, that the Flyers they pull it together and they win. Um, and the hurricanes, where are the hurricanes from? Is that here Miami?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's Miami. That's their focus. Tennessee hurricanes, right? No, I'm gonna think now we're just sound stupid.

SPEAKER_01

Hurricanes are Carolina. Is it Carolina? Are we that? It's like that. It's definitely Carolina. It is Carolina, wow. Okay. Well, there you go. Carolina Hurricanes, and I love South Carolina. Man, that is a good one to keep.

SPEAKER_00

They're based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, so we just all get grouped together. It's technically the Raleigh hurricanes.

SPEAKER_01

Raleigh hurricanes? No, what are you talking about? It's the it's the Carolina.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_01

Um, wow, that's uh that's a good moment right there. Well, there you go. That shows me. I'd actually I take that back. I've heard going to Carolina games are are really fun.

SPEAKER_00

So do you go to Stingrays games here? Uh yeah. Oh, so much fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's good scraps. My boys love it. Um so the temperature of the internet right now on all the sports this past week, what's what's happening?

SPEAKER_00

Uh Boston is in mourning with a 3-in-1 lead. The memes are back from 2016.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, have a little clam chowder and it'll cheer you up.

SPEAKER_00

Boston. Um, anything else on the internet that they're uh Strickland is all over fight Twitter doing his usual pre-fight chaos talk. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the Celtics had a 3-1 lead. The favorite at the Derby finished second, and the guy nobody bet on knocked out a future Hall of Famer. Vegas, if you think about it, probably had one of the worst weekends you could possibly possibly did. Um, um, the fans, though, it depending. I always like to go for the underdog, so you could have won big. We should get like a drafts, like uh, what is that online betting?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, like DraftKings, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We're talking about sports mod. Come on, DraftKings, hit your boy up, slide him out of DMs. Um, yeah, that'd be fun. I got some stock at DraftKings. So and then polymarker. What's that? What's it because polymarker is a new thing that you can bet on too, right?

SPEAKER_00

Polymarket, I think Calchi, DraftKings.

SPEAKER_01

So they see all places you can bet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think it's like online sports gambling. I think I think DraftKings is legal in South Carolina too. We have we have different laws here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm not much.

SPEAKER_01

We got different laws here. Our laws are so different, we don't even know that the Hurricanes are a hockey team here.

SPEAKER_00

Well, maybe if they played better.

SPEAKER_01

They're in the they're two up beating the flyers. What are you talking about? I think they've won some Stanley Cups too. We're gonna get roasted for this. Okay, so um, this weekend, I'm actually very excited about this UFC fight. Okay. I know there's have been a bunch of like for some reason the card is like not filling out the stadium, or maybe just a sign of the times and people money because the UFC tickets are very expensive. And the times that I've gone to the UFC, I've been invited, and it's been really exciting. But those tickets are very expensive, and these are two well-known things. Uh so you have Strickland versus Chamaya. Is that how you say his name? Yeah, Chamaya. Again, I'm butchering all these names. I apologize up front. Uh, it's May 9th, tomorrow, uh at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Maybe Dana White would be cool and invite the guy that got hit by the United Airlines to sit front and center and eat a fucking eat a donut. That's what I would do. Dana White, you should literally invite that guy to the UFC. You know, and and it should be like if he can take a hit from a 767, what else can he take a hit from? That was pretty stupid.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I'm I I don't I don't know. After the guy's a lawyer gets involved, he might be able to buy all the front row seats he wants.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, Dana White, you should definitely invite that little donut lover to the to the UFC after he got taken out by a 7-6-7 United fight. Um, all right, so there's some great cards. I highly I'm excited um uh to see this fight. I really am. I think Shemai is still undefeated and he's a heavy favorite. Um but I don't know. Strickland, I feel like is a dog, and like when he beat um Israel, uh that was uh that was surprising. So I feel like he he could he could uh he could pull the upside. I'm gonna go on Strickland on this. I'm gonna bet Strickland is gonna pull it out. Um just because I like to bet on the underdog. Okay. Um also on the card is Alexander Volko, um, who I love. He's a stud. Um oh we got Joaquin Buckley's against uh uh Joaquin Buckley is awesome against Sean Brady. That's gonna be a good one. Wow, this is so there's some good. This is a good this is a good card. This is really good. Um, highly recommend checking out this one too. And then this Saturday we also got some some boxing um for the W uh WBO heavyweight title um in Manchester, marked as don't blink, two power punchers, heavy stoppage potential. That's good. Boxing is good, but you need the knockouts. That's why Tyson was so exciting. That or he'll bite your off. Um, okay, so what do we have in the internet? What are they complaining about right now? Or what's the temperature?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so MMA fans are split. Half of them want Strickland to shock the world, and the other half want Chimave to finally clear out the division. Um Strickland is doing Strickland things on social media, just a lot of pre-fight chaos in full effect. He's actually trash talking.

SPEAKER_01

He's good at the because he just he's got he got zero cares. Um, I think he's he's a good heel. He's got that chelon sort of vibe about him. Um, so I think that's good. What else is it saying?

SPEAKER_00

So some of the fans are frustrated that UFC stopped doing real pay-per-view events on Saturday night and now they think Paramount Plus is killing the vibe.

SPEAKER_01

Really? I wonder why. I wonder why they're killing the vibe. If anybody is a UFC fan and can expand on that in the comments, why is Paramount Plus killing the vibe? Um, because that we talked about this before. That was a like a billion-dollar deal. You don't want to be killing the vibe, you want to be creating the vibe.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe it's just too accessible to people now, or maybe they're charging more. I don't know. I haven't looked into this myself.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the good news is Sean Strickland fights better when he's mad, and he's mad, I feel like 24-7. So basically in training camp, every time he opens his phone, he gets angry. So I think uh I don't know. I'm I'm sticking with my bet. I'm going with Strickland. Okay, what do we have here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so this is the Savannah Bananas pack 102,000 at Kyle Field. AJ, a baseball team that doesn't even play in the MLB, just sold out a college football stadium.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Let's check this out. Go to the let's just see the video real quick. Texas Tailgate beat bananas. Well, I'll say this. What is really cool about um Savannah Bananas is this guy, his story is unbelievable. He hasn't sold out, he was brought in and to take over the the team, and he he made it entertaining because I love taking my kids to baseball. Is this it right here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, look at that whole stadium. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, this is like babe root days, and it's like guys that and they're getting paid too, these guys, they're all making money. But he's made it entertaining. You gotta be able to entertain. The thing about this is like it is so expensive to take your kids out, right? And if you go to a baseball game, pay for parking, get in there, and by the time you get to like the fifth inning and your kids are like, I want to go, like you, it's hard to even make it to the seventh inning stretch. It really is. But if you are at a Savannah Banana game and the kids are dancing the whole time, so he saw something in the marketplace that was like, Okay, it's expensive for families to go out, we're gonna make it entertaining. It's good baseball, these are good players, but they're adding in this you know better version of Globetropper Trop, the Harlem Globe Globe Trotters, which was great.

SPEAKER_00

But I I actually had to shoot a commercial with one of their players, and I I just picked his brain.

SPEAKER_01

He was this with a globe trotter?

SPEAKER_00

No, with one of the Savannah Banana players.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I'm not gonna say his name on here, but say his name. I don't want to because I'm gonna say something that might incriminate him. But he was saying like his contract was higher than what he was getting paid drafted into the MLB. So he got a lot of people.

SPEAKER_01

These guys are making w tons of money, and it's like it's like the WWE of the but it's real baseball, though. It's real, it's entertainment. It really is entertainment, and these guys aren't bad players. Like these all, I believe, have like either played or or get a second shot. And you know, I know. Look, it I'm a big believer in taking your kids out and getting to experience and and and baseball is such an American sport, right? I didn't really play baseball. My kids now are like want to be playing baseball. They've all got mu mullets and their viper glasses and like their baseball drip. Yeah, their baseball drip, um, which we were talking about. That's so funny. I was like, hey, you were I was getting some advice from you on I'm like, hey, what are the kids wearing these days? I'm like, and you brought up your my eight-year-old nephew. But I didn't know he was eight. And I'm like, oh, this is a cool, this is cool. I was just thinking of other designs for um uh Born of Discipline. And I'm like, I text Sean later, I'm like, hey dude, can you ask your your your cousin some more fashion stuff? And he's like, he's eight years old, dude. I'm like, oh, I thought like he was like a teenager and he was dialed in, but but you know what? They they know what's uh which is cool. So, anyways, let's move on.

SPEAKER_00

So, three dead from a rare virus on a cruise ship, AJ. Three people died on a cruise ship from a rare virus this weekend. I have a lot of opinions on cruise ships.

SPEAKER_01

See, uh, I this is what I'm down to go on a cruise ship, okay? Like, I'd really like to go to the Alaska one, like that looks amazing.

SPEAKER_00

I actually know somebody who went on that. Yeah, they do all the cruises around the world and they say the Alaska one is by far the best.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's there's like different types like the Disney cruise, my friends go on it, they've gone on it, they said it's great. I think I would go absolutely ape shit with listening to Disney music. And for like you're when you're trapped, it's one thing like when you go to Disneyland and then you can leave the park. But like if you're a little bit hung over and a small world, after all, is playing when you're like going to the bathroom, that's that's where shit gets weird.

SPEAKER_00

See, my thing with cruise ships, and I'm gonna go conspiracy theory real quick because you're gonna love this. You're in international waters, they control the food you eat, they control the rooms you sleep in, they control what you drink, and you're they basically you're like a floating lab rat.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Now I'm just like you always hear people getting sick, and I don't know, man. Something about the idea of being like a lap or lab rat scares me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so here's the breakdown three deaths reported aboard a cruise ship over the weekend. All deaths, oh deaths. Wow. I thought it was like people were sick. No, three deaths aboard a cruise ship. Oh my god, all linked to a rare virus that broke out on board. Public health officials are tracking it. The ship had to deal with isolation protocols mid-voyage. Details still coming up. Oh, that's terrifying. Oh, and it's not like I've seen the cabin rooms that you like you have to stay in. Like it's a closet you're in, and then you uh yeah, that just doesn't sound good. And like it is, if you think about it, it's it's a wave of floating Petri dish. Like it's just you're you're literally just floating, and it's just this, you're right. You may I think you're onto something, Sean. For the first time, you might be on to something. Um, because I remember when COVID happened, they like kept you out because there was an infection, so they kept everybody um on on board. I mean, that'd be cool if like the entertainment was still going and like what was that movie like that in the airport?

SPEAKER_00

Was it contagion or something? Yeah, that yeah, that movie was crazy.

SPEAKER_01

So look, I mean, that's true though. If you if you think about it though, like you spend six thousand dollars to get trapped on a butt with 4,000 strangers and a buffet that's just been sitting out since Tuesday. Okay, and and and you're surprised, these people, that there's some sort of nasty virus going around. I mean, yeah, buffets, no, I'm good. I am good. There's there's something about eggs and buffets, and when you just hear it and then yeah, just it's nothing good about it. I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

Golly, this next one. The Benadryl challenge is back. AJ, the Benadryl challenge resurfaced on TikTok. What actually is happening? Now, let me before you go on. There is warnings on this, and the sheriff has warned parents not to let your kid do this and to make sure you're watching your kid's privacy, and we do not support anything like that.

SPEAKER_01

No, this is terrible. So, but uh, this is also where I think like you can get flagged on Instagram, YouTube for like saying a word out of context or whatever it is. Like you go to post a video, and if there's like if there's the word like death or suicide, it flags you. It is a job as social media owners like TikTok to step in and be like, we are not supporting this because it's that these dopamine hits that these kids are going after to like have their 15 seconds of fame and they don't understand what it is. So I I I basically what's happening is six years ago there was a Benadryl challenge, okay, and now it's starting to make its its kids again. I guess that the rumor is that if you take enough Benadryl, you'll start to hallucinate. I mean, but there's been reported deaths, dozen the teens get hospitalized. Yeah, because it's like it's like that scene out of um uh uh um Wolf of Wall Street where they're like, take more. It's not I don't feel anything kicking. Grab the lewds. Oh yeah, grab the lewds. It's one of my favorite scenes in the movie where he thinks he's driving totally fine to where to the thing. I mean, Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the greatest actors to ever do, but that is probably the best thing where he's he's like grab the lewds. Um, but yeah, TikTok should not this should not even be a topic right now because that's what they want to uh I just wish I wish these social media and these websites would do stuff to protect children.

SPEAKER_00

Like it seems like they care more about making money than actually the safety of the children and users. And man, I've I've just gone through this with my own kid with things that pop up, and just there's so many sick people in the world that put things up to get around like YouTube kids, and it's just it's wild. There's nothing being done, but yet, like you said, you post a video that says murder in it, and yeah, boop.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you're and you're just talking about, and we're not posting a video to say like murder somebody, but you're just talking in general about something, and if there's certain words it won't, or whatever it is, it just this is where I feel like it's the duty of the the platform to not allow these things go because that's all it is. People want their their their 15 seconds, and it's gotten worse now with just you know more influencers and creators and stuff like that. You know, it's uh the the juice is not worth the squeeze. Um so you know, it says here several states are pressuring TikTok again, so that's good. At least that's good. Like just has but it has to like there shouldn't be a a a point where we're pressuring them. Like it should be we're not gonna promote this. Like if you're doing this, your account gets flagged and you don't get to you, you know. Yeah. You should be punished right away for promoting it or reposting it or anything to to do this, unless it's to to you know, send it to somebody to help them, you know, to call the cops. But other than that, it's just crazy. So okay. Else what else we got, Sean?

SPEAKER_00

A 10-year-old got hospitalized because of a TikTok challenge involving a squishy toy. Here you go. Another one. Um, so what is going on with these kids and TikTok? And just how does this keep happening?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, let's watch it. I want to watch it. Go down. So click on Bella's mom interview.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Ohio severely burned with with the burned in viral Nito TikTok challenge. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you microwave the Nito TikTok challenge when the toy exploded. The challenge involves putting Nito, a squishy tactical toy that has gel in the middle of it, in the microwave and make it softer and more pliable. However, when Nito is not microwave safe, the girl receives second degree burns to her hands and fingers.

SPEAKER_01

First of all, who's telling their kids to put a fucking toy in the microwave? What? Okay, so that's let's let's just start there. I'm not blaming this on any parents, but let's this is a public service now. Don't even first of all, you shouldn't have a microwave. Microwaves are terrible. Okay. I got rid of our microwave, and if you want to have one, teach your own. But microwaves kill everything that's in the food. It's not good for you.

SPEAKER_00

And second, yeah, your child should not have a TikTok.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Come on. I mean, let's let's be honest here. I mean, this is yeah, it's but it's like these are things that you can, you know, teach their own. I get it. I'm not coming down on any parent for anything, but I'm just saying, let's just start here. Microwaving a toy, it's not a good idea.

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_01

Because don't I think it starts the heat starts from within, and then it like, yeah. So it's just no, that's a terrible idea. So um they should, yeah. Man, this is just sad. You never want to see any kids get hurt. And and again, I will say this. I remembered the first time with a microwave, I clearly remember this, and I was like, whoa, like let me do that again. I had like a fork in my mac and cheese bowl in the microwave, and it's starting, and I was like, whoa, that is so cool. And my dad came around, he was like, Oh, it's gonna blow up, don't do that. I didn't know you couldn't put metal in the microwave.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, for me, I took the Arby's roast beef sandwich and it has that foil wrapper, and I threw it in the microwave and jumped in the shower to get ready for school. I was gonna eat it on the way. And do you about burned the whole house down? Dude, it's insane.

SPEAKER_01

I would say this I have never eaten it at Arby's, and I did go through the drive-thru once to take a look when I was on a road trip because the only thing I was starving, and I went through and they're like, hi, welcome to Arby's. What can I get you? And I was like, I'm good. I looked at that menu, I was like, This does not Arby's is my favorite fast food place.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, I really love like I love their food, I think it's really good. It's terrible for you, high sodium, and but everything else is.

SPEAKER_01

Is it even real?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they got the meats. They don't got the meats. That's their slogan. It says Arby's. We got the meats.

SPEAKER_01

We got the meats. Well, there you can see how their food is affecting their brain because it's saying we got the meats.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I got multiple meats.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. You can make meats plural.

SPEAKER_00

All right, we're getting a little off topic here. Anyways, moving on.

SPEAKER_01

Moving on. I love you, Arby's.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I would love for them to be a sponsor. I could I could eat Arby's every day.

SPEAKER_01

No, we're shutting that down.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not, I'm actually not. He's so big. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, all right, what do we got here, Sean?

SPEAKER_00

So Instagram dropped a new AI filter. Now everyone's photos look like they were taken to 2008 at a college party. What's going on?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, let's see what it is.

SPEAKER_00

That was my college years, bro.

SPEAKER_01

2008, yeah. No, I well, I never went to college, so I wonder what's gonna Oh, that's kind of cool. It looks like one of those like ad campaign things, though. I like that. That's a really cool. Oh, dude, we should I want to use this for for uh born of a spirit.

SPEAKER_00

It needs more duck lips and downward angles though to be 2008.

SPEAKER_01

I mean it's I like the exposure though. I do like it. That's really cool though. I do like that. That's kind of cool.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I guess Gen Z's obsessed. They think they invented digital cam aesthetics, and millennials are just like this is our entire 20s, you guys are weird.

SPEAKER_01

It is true though, it's like when I think about you know, like we are the last generation, like the like the 90s and the early 2000s, right? We're the last generation. We didn't have social media, yeah. So our generation, I mean, were you what year were you born? 90.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so I like came into it, so like I didn't really have like a cell phone cell phone until I was already like 16.

SPEAKER_01

No, that didn't exist. Like we would go out and play, and when the street lights came home, I had literally five minutes to be home after the street lights came. Like we would just get on our bikes and ride places.

SPEAKER_00

I was like too old for a pager, and then I was too young for a cell phone. So like I missed the pager era, but the buttons kind of cool.

SPEAKER_01

The pagers, I got a pager when I moved to Los Angeles, but prior to that, there was like we had the big cell phones, we had it was a cell phone that was attached to the car with a like a cord, but there was no, it's so bizarre. Like there was just no, it was it really was better. I will tell you this. It was so much better. Everything was authentic. You I used to have like numbers memorized, I had like 50 number numbers memorized, um, and I could recall them. I I knew how to get somewhere, like and the name of streets now.

SPEAKER_00

It's like yeah, I don't go anywhere without using maps now for just the traffic update. And it I think that's what a lot of people stress is we we're not used as humans to like getting all of this information so fast all of the time. Like it's not built into our DNA.

SPEAKER_01

But it's also, I think it's made a generation of kids coming up. Like, if they don't get it instantly, if they don't get that that dopamine hit and they have to like apply work to get it in, is is like there's a lot of soft hands right now. Like kids just don't want to work. And I heard Dana White saying this, and he was like, he said to his kids or or to he was speaking somewhere, and he was like, if you have just a little bit of drive, a little bit of that killer instinct, a little bit of that hustle in the generation that's coming up, you will absolutely mop the floor with everybody because everybody is like a keyboard Monday morning Cheeto finger, you know, warrior with your opinion. Nobody wants to put the work in. Nobody wants to risk it for the biscuit. They don't want to do any of that, they just want to press a button and get fed the nonsense. Yeah. And I think that's the biggest downfall of this generation coming up. And I think AI, even more so, has just taken out the guesswork. Like there's no, yes, they're they're creating these programs that are are great, but there's still the human experience element that I don't think AI will ever get. And what it's doing though to this younger generation is just, oh, I'll just ask this and it'll do the work for me. There's no we're we're going to see a really bad, and I maybe that's part of the plan. A really bad, when we look back, there's gonna be some sort of drop-off of something.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think there's like a correlation between intelligence and effort, and I think each generation, as like technology improves and we can receive information faster. Like each generation's getting more intelligent, but they're getting more lazy because it's so easy. Like, I don't know, there's like a correlation. It's really hard to find people who are hyper intelligent and then hyper like high effort guys, also.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I just I was never formally educated, I just had like a crazy work ethic and I was driven, and I still am. Just if some I'm interested in something, I'm I I'm really just stubborn with it.

SPEAKER_00

Just yeah, I just put your head down and cry.

SPEAKER_01

And I love that. And you have to have that, and hopefully, I'm passing that on to my kids. Well, you know, you can only hope for the best, but I do have like if we were good, if you were to say, like, take this generation and we go to like where World War II happened, we'd be screwed. We would be absolutely screwed from how obese the young generation is, how unhealthy the food that we're eating, testosterone levels. There's so much stuff that is like it's terrifying to what the capabilities are, and they keep lowering the standards for like, oh, they should be able to only do 10 pushups. So I think before it was like 50 push-ups. Like, no, raise the bar. You know, who cares if their feelings get hurt? The world is so much tougher out there. Stop making excuses to make it easier for people because all that does when you get out in the real world is they get eaten alive. You should encourage people to fail because you understand then what not to do. You should encourage to take chances and fall flat on your face because that's where you're defined in those moments. How bad do you want it? And if you want it bad enough, you get up and you get after it, but you win or you learn.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think this is another conspiracy theory, but a lot of our education system falls in line with our health situ, like our health system. And if you keep people unhealthy and you keep people uneducated, and putting them on like like these these you can keep them in control antidepressants and all this sort of stuff. It's like you keep them obedient.

SPEAKER_01

The fact that they don't start off with like the proper diet and exercise is the first thing the doctor ever says instead of just giving people pills. And listen, I've I've had uh my bouts and battles with depression, but the times that they gave me anything, it made it way worse. Yeah, there was nothing for me personally, and I'm not a doctor claiming to be a doctor, but for me personally, where things changed for me was working out and eating right. That was like where I saw the most change with any sort of stuff I had going on.

SPEAKER_00

And prioritizing your sleep with your zero gravity bed.

SPEAKER_01

With ghost bed. I will tell you this. This they are a sponsor of the show, but I will tell you this: I can't make this up. The ghost bed is the greatest bed ever.

SPEAKER_00

This isn't even an ad. It's not an ad. It's just so great.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just telling you, it is the best ad. The best, sorry, the it is the best bed I've ever slept. My wife will say the same. My kids, with three, three, all my three kids. That's all I got. All my three kids, all three of them in the bed last night and the dog, because they were scared. But I'll never kick them out because I know those days I'll look back and be like, man, I just love when they all climb in. It's like one big happy family. Anyways, moving on. What do we got?

SPEAKER_00

So Dr. Steven Greer is back and he's claiming we've shot down a thousand alien ships, but we're losing a secret war.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Now, Dr. Steven Greer, I guess he was some backstory on him. Maybe we can look this up, Sean. But he was a guy that I think worked at the White House. He's he in the he was in the program. Like he's a doctor, you know. I don't know, because I've I've heard mixed views on this guy.

SPEAKER_00

So he did, I he did, though, work at the White House, or he did so he's an American retired emergency medicine physician and a prominent UFO researcher focused on disclosing alleged classified government information about extraterrestrial intelligence. And he founded the Disclosure Project and the Center for Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So I've seen a bunch of his documentaries, and they're awesome. And they're awesome because I love UFOs, and I think I say this on every show. Okay, so let me take that from. So there's a clip right now going viral. Dr. Steven Greer sat down with Benny Johnson and made a wild list of claims. One is that there's a secret war between humans and advanced alien civilizations. Two, aliens are peaceful, which I hope they are. I really do. I want to hang out. I want to just I want to party with some aliens. I do. I'm gonna be like, what you guys up to today? Hey, buddy. You know, I suppose it's like telepathy too. So they're gonna put like T-Mobile out of business too. It's like, you know, can you hear me now? And like he'll be able to hear it with his little antennas, like through telepathy. He'd be like, What's up, brother? Like, what's your name? He's like, duh, gun, duck, duck, too. Maybe that, maybe that's I maybe someone is speaking through me right now. Remember, remember in Men in Black? Do you remember Men in Black? What are you laughing at?

SPEAKER_00

Your brain just works in amazing ways, AJ.

SPEAKER_01

So you remember in Men in Black at the beginning of Men in Black, where they take over the bottom. I think it's Vincent D'Nafrio is it plays the alien.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, dude.

SPEAKER_01

And then he's like, the guy's like, and then it's like and it opens up and it's like the it's the guy's like, not you again. He's like. So I don't know. But uh, so, anyways, the aliens are peaceful. If they weren't, they'd already, we'd already be dead, which I I believe on that. And the third claim he made is that humans have shot down more than a thousand alien spacecrafts with advanced electromagnetic pulse weapons. Four secret military programs have been experimenting with alien DNA, creating man-made hybrids. What this is just all sci-fi, you know, and it's awesome. I just love hearing this stuff. He's calling it one of the biggest hidden scandals in US history. The post is blowing up, and he he runs through the whole thing over um with uh Wu Tang. What is it? It says the post.

SPEAKER_00

It's the music over the oh yeah, it's like Wu Tang, Triumph Instrumental, and the kicker, they ran it side by side with an image of Greer next to a CJI reptilian alien.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of talk about reptilians, and I'm just telling you this. That freaks me out. If they look like reptilians, that would that would that would make it uncomfortable. Wouldn't it? Like, where do you look?

SPEAKER_00

Just imagine where they land.

SPEAKER_01

Because if you look at like I went on a crocodile hunt, uh gator hunt, sorry, not a crocodile that's Australia, but I went on a gator hunt, and I think I've talked about this before. It was terrifying, and I never want to go on one again because I it was so scary in being in this little John boat, but then like when we had killed the gator, it like eyes still opened up and it looked at me straight out of Jurassic Park and it snatched my soul in that moment. I was like, oh, it's like it like remembered me. Remember me.

SPEAKER_00

I don't feel it. So alligators never bothered me. Like, I grew up here, so you know, working on a golf course, I would go like move three and four foot gators. And dude, I've been nudged on a kayak with 12 foot gators, and well that that made me a little yeah, a little nervous.

SPEAKER_01

You'd care if it ripped your dick off.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but I've never pulled my dick out in front of a gator.

SPEAKER_01

Let's uh well, you ain't living unless you've done that show.

SPEAKER_00

Let's uh be honest there.

SPEAKER_01

But you want to call this a reptilian, dang. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I guess people are asking if the Steven Greer guy's a plant because he looks like the alien in the photo that's going around.

SPEAKER_01

That's that's just plain mean. I'm not even gonna comment on that, but he does look like he's okay. So let me get this right. The guy who claims to astral project onto the alien motherships, because I've seen him do that. He had like Demi Lovato out in the desert. And if that's credibility, Demi Lovato and him went out into the desert to astral project aliens to come and visit them. So, but I did see some videos where they like could they could talk to moving things in the sky. Again, I don't know if there's psychedelics involved, but it looks like a lot of fun, and I'm here for it. But let's get this straight. So, this guy claims to astral project onto motherships, who personally looks like he's already done it, is telling us we're at war with the peaceful ones. So let's recap there. The aliens are nice, we're the problem, and our number one whistleblower is against the cover-up, but is the cover-up. Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. That was kind of confusing, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So maybe it's just it's a lot of it's a lot of confusion going. There's a lot of aliens are in every time we talk about it, and I'm here for it. We talk about aliens. It's a lot of stuff going on with aliens.

SPEAKER_00

Also, there's a lot of weird things that happen in the desert.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Like to you personally? No, I just feel like I mean Coachella, weird.

SPEAKER_00

Um no, not yet.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know what do you know what they call that when you get your your butt touched in the desert? No, what? Sandy finger. It's true.

SPEAKER_00

Is that really what it's called? No, I just made that up. Is that a Hollywood term?

SPEAKER_01

Did you get the old Sandy Finger last night?

SPEAKER_00

So pastors are now claiming the U.S. government pulled them into a meeting and told them to get their congregations ready for alien disclosure. Where is this coming from?

SPEAKER_01

I did see this post, and uh so Perry Stone, I guess, is the uh is the pastor, right? And this this this one clip right now is blowing up on X. It's got like 500,000 views, 4,000 retweets. Um it's posted by spooky UFO. The clip is of Pastor Stone, who says a friend of his, a pastor at a great church in the state that he wouldn't name, of course, how convenient, was invited along with a large number of pastors meeting up with U.S. government. According to Stone, those officials told the pastors, point black, they're gonna there's gonna be a release concerning aliens. You need to get your people and prepare. Stone says they uh told the pastors they they recovered a craft of made of materials. Okay, well, this is not, yeah, thanks, pal. I mean news flash that happened at Roswell. So I guess there's a thing coming up disclosure day, which is June 12th. Is it really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, this all lines up with VP JD Vance saying on Benny Jones' show that he thinks UFOs aren't aliens, they're demons.

SPEAKER_00

Isn't it weird how all these alien conspiracies keep it all goes back to like they're scared to tell us because of our religion?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I mean, if you look at chariot to the gods, and even if you look at like paintings like from way back in the day, there's there's there's images of of flying saucers and stuff back then. You look at the pyramids and the hieroglyphics, like there's stuff in there. There's no way that we haven't been visited, and it's just consistent throughout where it becomes, I feel I feel they can use aliens as a way to distract us, be like, look over here, you know. We're so easy at it because we we so want to believe, you know, and I do believe that we're not the only things in the universe, but it's just so hard to believe. There's been I've I've heard this for the longest time that they're gonna fake some type of alien invasion or some type of thing. Actually, that that Steven Dr. Steven Greer, he's been talking about that for a while. I've heard some other people, it's gonna be a fake alien invasion.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, they had the Steven Spielberg film disclosure day that they were saying is like Hollywood was using that as like a to like normal, like you said in the last podcast, to uh turn the water up instead of throwing us into the boiling water, like yeah, and they've done that. Hollywood has a whole budget in the Pentagon.

SPEAKER_01

They think that Hollywood they think Hollywood is like uh CIA thing, like they they see but they believe that what's just pull this up on your phone really quick. There's been many conspiracies that Hollywood is part of the CIA. Um, and no, I'm not in the CIA.

SPEAKER_00

Well, no, you can pull up funding budgets for certain films. Like I think the Pentagon funds like 500 billion or 500 million dollars for films.

SPEAKER_01

I got a great idea for this independent film if the Pentagon wants to shoot me some money. But I mean, I'm very excited Steven Spielberg um is making a alien movie. I mean, E.T. was amazing, we're the world's meh, but um E.T. is still my favorite. He's such a cute little so what does it say, Sean?

SPEAKER_00

So the partnership dates back to the Cold War where intelligence services influence content such as buying the rights to George Orwell's Animal Farm for film adaptation, uh script approval and influence. The CIA has provided feedback and required script changes and reviewed content for films and televisions like shows like Zero Dark 30, Argo, and the agency. So they definitely have their hands in it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I understand that too. Like when we were doing SEAL team, we had the first season, we had some DOD stuff, and we had to be very specific about we could not show training that the guys were currently doing. So everything you saw on the show was nothing that they were currently doing, they always changed their tactics. So we had to be very clear that we weren't giving away any sort of um techniques or or procedures that we did, um, which was cool to know. I'm like, oh wow, it's that it's that serious. Because I'm like, if somebody's watching our show to see our movement, especially in like season one or season two, like I'm a I was I was my the chicken wing out. It's funny when you go back and watch Shield Team and see my how I was in the first season or two with my going from my primary to my secondary, it was pretty bad. You know, thank God for my stunt double chase. He was a stud and made me look good. Um, so what's the what's the wrap up here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think a lot of people believe that this disclosure thing is just a bigger distraction from something else. Like it's like, hey, don't look at what we're doing over here. We have aliens.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So the bigger conspiracy threat is pastors believe disclosure is a cover for the rapture. Alien invasion as an explanation for future disappearances. Man, I mean, I just yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I know what I'm doing this weekend. I'm about to get raptured so hard.

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, that just got dark. I don't even want to ask questions. Your wife better not hear this.

SPEAKER_00

You guys want to get raptured later?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah you're a power bottom for sure. Um all right. So uh let's move on to the next one. What do we got?

SPEAKER_00

What actually is winning YouTube this week?

SPEAKER_01

All right. What is winning this? Let's just cherry pick. So the top ones is Mr.

SPEAKER_00

Beast gaming. One day versus 50,000 day building challenge.

SPEAKER_01

Is there a thing with like Mr. Beast is just an everything he does, he's trends number one. Like he is unbelievable at doing it.

SPEAKER_00

There's a theory that he's the Antichrist. I mean, there's a lot of theories on who's the Antichrist. So yeah, anyways, irrelevant. Yeah. Guy makes a bunch of money.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. One day versus 50,000 day building challenge, 28.8 million views in nine days. That's pretty impressive. Um, you got the glitch, which is a digital circus episode nine finale trailer, got 27.5 million. Resident Evil, which I will tell you this. If I ever get a chance to do a movie, I want to do Resident Evil movie.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. I love them with Mila Jovich. She is just awesome.

SPEAKER_00

She's so awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, and then you have Sabrina Carpenter, her house tour, got 22.5 million, you know. And then uh, I think that's uh that's our top our top three, anyways. Um Paramount Jack S. I'm excited about this. The trailer for that. It is awesome. The only thing that they left out is one of the dudes um is not in it. The guy that the skateboarder dude, Bam.

SPEAKER_00

I think Bam Margier is in this one. I think they actually let him. This will be the first one back.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there was like a lot with like contract disputes and his sobriety and things, but I think he's in this one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know what I loved about I love Bam's dad. It was heartbreaking to see him go through what he did with, you know, every anybody that's got any sort of addiction problems and goes through what they go through, it's always heartbreaking. But what was even more you saw how much that that dad loved his son.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And there's nothing worse as a father to feel helpless and you can't help your son. And he, in the documentary that I saw of him, he was like, I just was a dad, you know, they he videoed everything, and that sort of started this journey that these guys were on. There was no such thing as YouTube then. They were just vit he just carried the camera and he went to everything that his son wanted to do. His son wanted to go to skate park every day. He did that. He was like the best dad.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so they had a huge influence on my film career. I mean, that's kind of how I got started was like watching their CKY videos before before Jackass. And then another fun fact is uh Bamar Giro is actually here in the low country all the time. His wife's from the low country.

SPEAKER_01

Is he really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and he like like one of his favorite skate spots is like I think John's Island or James Island.

SPEAKER_01

There's a great my kids are into skating, but because of Eric Tanzie's kids. Yeah, who by the way, we need Eric Tanzi on the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't think we would get if we did unfiltered Fridays with Tanzy just. Oh, we gotta do it. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

All right, thank you so much for watching another Unfiltered Friday. I hope wherever you're at, you're enjoying the day, enjoying the sunshine, the clouds, the rainbow. I hope you see a rainbow and you find a little leopard coming. Give him a kiss, put him back on the stage. Have a beer, have a water, enjoy the weekend, stay safe, and um, thanks for watching. Much love. Don't forget to like, subscribe, tell a friend, tell your mama. Page a buck the show. We're out.
